Vehicle recovery is peaks and valleys. But your truck can earn money all year round. Here are real numbers from three Assist stations – as of 24 July 2026, shared with their permission.

Bergen Bilhjelp, Bergen Bilhjelp Storbil and Voss Bilberging – three stations, same owner – did one simple thing: they let their regular business customers book transport themselves, directly in Assist. The car dismantler. The body shop. The car dealer. Customers they already knew – who now enter the jobs themselves, without a single phone call.

The result – in the middle of the summer holidays

257 jobs so far in July. Nearly 70 of them were booked straight through the form by regular customers – without a single phone call. A typical pickup invoices NOK 1,500–3,600. The biggest jobs over NOK 7,000.

What does it cost?

The three stations pay a total of NOK 7,940 per month for Assist – everything included. The maths is simple: two jobs pay the entire monthly licence. The rest is yours. With 257 jobs so far in July, Assist has cost around NOK 30 per job – and the month isn't over.

Three ways to earn money with the equipment you already have

  • Let your regular customers book themselves. Workshops, dismantlers, dealers, rental companies – they have vehicles that need moving every single week. With their own booking form in Assist, they enter the jobs themselves. You drive when it suits you.
  • Work with the neighbouring station. Stations in Assist already send jobs to each other when they're fully booked or missing the right truck. If you have spare capacity, you pick them up.
  • Put an open booking form on your website, so customers can book jobs directly.

And just so it's said: recovery always comes first. These are jobs you take when you have time and a truck available. No commitments, no obligations. Your contract work runs exactly as before.

PS: Thank you for all the great feedback on the Assist network after our summer letter! We're working on connecting the stations more closely, step by step – and we'll share more when it's ready to be tested.
